USR/UMSR’s Briefing for
Advanced Rider Course (ARC)

Mandatory training for all motorcyclists.
Including training for all motorcyclists (cruisers, standard and sport bikes)

DO NOT ALLOW YOUR PEOPLE TO SIGN UP FOR THE ARC
UNLESS THEY MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
Have completed a BRC or ERC (must have proof of training). Owns and operates a motorcycle.
  The host wing Chief of Safety is the final authority to determine that all motorcyclists are in need of the Advanced Riders Course no matter what style the motorcycle is.  It is suggested the motorcyclist has been on their motorcycle for a minimum of 3 months.

IF A RIDER DOES NOT MEET THE APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS ABOVE —
DO NOT SIGN THEM UP FOR THE ARC

What the program entails:
1) A 2.5 hour classroom portion at G&C Honda (2415 E. 70th St., Shreveport, LA) .  Also a 5 hour riding portion on the range. (Airline HS, Viking Drive, Bossier City, LA at parking area across from Chuck e Cheese.)
2 ) This is a pass/fail program with no formal graded knowledge or rider’s skill evaluation — instead classroom participation
and overall rider skill development determines if you receive a completion card.

USR/UMSR pre-registration briefing items.

  1. Verify individual is qualified for the ARC using the criteria above
  2. Verify individual is eligible for the ARC — military member of your unit and unit will reimburse this individual upon course completion
  3. Brief individual as follows:
  • DO NOT WASTE OUR TIME OR EMBARRASS THE UNIT BY FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THESE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS
  • You are responsible for, and required to, register within 5 days of today’s date.
  • Pay your tuition fee within 5 days of your registration date.
  • IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO REGISTER AND PAY WITHIN THE TIME CONSTRAINTS WE HAVE JUST PROVIDED, COME BACK WHEN YOU ARE
    — should I continue?
  • Your tuition fee is reimbursed automatically within 60 days of completing this course.
  • Failure to attend all class activities will result in dismissal from the course WITHOUT UNIT REIMBURSEMENT.
  • You must follow the instructions found in all RidingSafety.com emails — failure to do so can result in your removal from the program.
