Terms and Conditions
By enrolling in the Basic Rider Course (BRC1), you agree to follow the policies and safety standards established by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and our training site. These terms and conditions are designed to ensure a safe, effective learning environment for all participants. Please read them carefully before your course begins, as your registration and participation indicate your understanding and acceptance of these guidelines.
1. Eligibility
• You must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license or permit.
• Minors must have a parent or legal guardian sign a waiver before the course begins.
2. Course Requirements
• Full attendance is required. You must complete all classroom and riding sessions to be eligible for completion.
• You must pass both written and riding evaluations to receive the course completion card.
• Motorcycles and helmets are provided. You may not use your personal motorcycle during the course.
3. Safety Gear
Students must wear the following:
• DOT-approved helmet (provided if needed)
• Eye protection (goggles or glasses)
• Full-finger gloves
• Long-sleeve shirt or jacket
• Long pants (no holes, no leggings)
• Over-the-ankle boots (no canvas or soft shoes)
4. Participation and Dismissal
• Instructors reserve the right to remove any participant for unsafe behavior or failure to follow instructions.
• If you are dismissed or voluntarily leave, no refund will be issued.
5. Refund & Reschedule Policy
• Cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance to qualify for a refund (minus processing fees).
• No refunds will be given for no-shows or late arrivals.
• Rescheduling is allowed once with at least 72 hours’ notice. Missed rescheduled classes are non-refundable.
6. Waiver and Release
All students must sign an MSF liability waiver before participating. By enrolling, you acknowledge the inherent risks of motorcycle training and agree to release the MSF, instructors, and the training site from liability.
Anything else? Yes, come expecting to have fun and learn something. If neither happens, let me know!!! Also, you must sign a RELEASE, WAIVER AND INDEMNIFICATION form and acknowledge you understand the TRAINING RULES before you participate in class. These forms are posted here to allow you to read and comprehend them before signing up for the class. You must sign them to receive this training.
